Title
Travels through Italy, containing new and curious observations on that country, etc

Publisher
London, 1776

A travel description from the 18th century, based on a trip in the 1750ies. Mr. Northall was an officer of the British Army and proofed an excellent sense for details about i.e. roads and distances when writing his travel description. I owe a lot of useful information for my post Writer’s Travel Guide: The British and the Grand Tour to the Kingdom of Naples and Sicily to his work. You can read the book online here.
